Verizon Innovative Learning has committed over $1 billion in market value to support digital equity and inclusion within education for some of the most vulnerable populations across the country. Focused on helping students develop the skills, knowledge and capabilities for success in today’s digital world, the award-winning initiative has now reached over 3.5 million students across the U.S.

Verizon’s Innovative Learning Schools program is a partnership with Digital Promise, reaching 592 Title I middle and high schools with devices – including tablets, laptops, and hotspots –along with access to innovative learning programs and extensive teacher training.

“Through Verizon Innovative Learning, we’ve seen how equitable access to technology and next-gen tools can not only drive student engagement but provide vital tools for educators to transform their classroom. With the help of our partners, more classrooms nationwide will have the opportunity to develop students’ digital skills with ready-to-teach, tech-focused learning materials that explore new technologies, such as AI, and embed gaming/esports.”
Alex Servello, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Verizon

The company also provides free online resources available to all K-12 educators, empowering them to bring new ways of learning into the classroom experience through Verizon Innovative Learning HQ. Educators can access hundreds of standard aligned lesson plans, innovative education apps, and professional development courses to help develop new skills.

These efforts are part of Citizen Verizon, the company’s responsible business plan for economic, environmental and social advancement. Through Citizen Verizon, the company has a goal to provide 10 million youths with digital skills training by 2030.
