Around the nation, AT&T is taking steps to help students and families impacted by the digital divide. The company is committed to expanding access to digital devices and increasing adoption through free educational and digital literacy tools. The company has opened 25 AT&T Connected Learning Centers with the goal of opening more than 50 across the country by mid-2024, in cities such as Dallas, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Cleveland, Detroit, Houston, Miami, and San Francisco.

These AT&T Connected Learning Centers are a part of a broader ecosystem of offerings designed to meet community needs and address the digital divide. These spaces include a variety of models – smaller labs to larger centers – often housed within existing nonprofits that are trusted community partners. The different style of centers could provide any combination of computers, digital literacy education, mentoring and high-speed internet.

At AT&T we’re taking a multi-pronged approach to addressing the digital divide. AT&T’s investments to help narrow the divide include continued network expansion, innovative and forward-looking partnerships, free digital learning platforms such as The Achievery, a dedicated workforce for good and purposeful community support.
Mylayna Albright, the assistant vice president for Corporate Social Responsibility at AT&T

The company believes connectivity is vital to bridging people to greater possibilities. It provides the opportunity to achieve academic success, economic advancement and stability. And it’s the driving force behind AT&T's commitment to help narrow the digital divide through investments in internet accessibility, affordability and the safe use of technology.
