Thanks to altafiber, Lawrenceburg High School now has a brand new e-sports gaming arena. Through altafiber's Elevating Education Technology Grant, the school was awarded $20,000 to support the e-sports program. This grant also included a classroom featuring 13 new gaming stations with CORSAIR desktop computers, keyboards and monitors and two large televisions in the classroom.

In Lawrenceburg High School, 30 student athletes compete during fall and spring seasons. Gaming can provide a boost in self-esteem, provides teamwork opportunities, and provides a safe and inclusive environment for students.

"Esports have been around for a very long time. They're so important for kids that are looking for alternative sports. They also provide education opportunities. There's a lot of colleges now offering scholarships for Esports."
